As a residency training site, you will benefit from access to a high-quality pipeline of teachers trained in your school and create additional career ladder positions to support, reward, and extend the reach of your most highly effective teachers.
As a Residency Training Site, your school would commit to:
- Hosting 2 or more resident teachers, contributing $10,000 towards Mentor Teacher stipends;
- Identifying and supporting selected Mentor Teachers to host resident teachers in their classrooms;
- Collaborating with CPS residency staff and university partners to support resident training and development;
- Supporting opportunities for residents to visit other classrooms, schools and/or engage in community-based learning experiences.
